A divorce lawyer’s invitation for Change

As I continue to practice law into the next year, I cannot help but ask myself, do we have “it” right? We, as a community, those of us helping people get divorced, and those of us getting divorced, work within a system that does not have the energy or time to see us as individuals. Have we become a cliche? A category? Is it time to challenge that status quo? To remind those in charge that decisions affect us at a deep and long lasting level?

I believe that it is that time. I believe that change should and needs to happen, and I plan on unrolling a new forum for divorce “justice” in the next year.

As I prepare to unveil this new approach, I invite you to share your ideas for what you feel you would like to see in such a system. I offer this platform as a forum for sharing ideas so that I can make sure that I am addressing the needs of the population that I have gratefully served for decades.

If you have been divorced, are getting divorced or know someone who has or is, please feel free to share what you think is most broken about our system and any ideas for change that you would like to see in the future.

You should be heard! Don't be shy, reach out!
